More blessings

I Chronicles 16
(My Heart's song)

28 O nations of the world, recognize the Lord, recognize that the Lord is glorious and strong.
29 Give to the Lord the glory he deserves!

Bring your offering and come into his presence.
Worship the Lord in all his holy splendor.
30 Let all the earth tremble before him.
The world stands firm and cannot be shaken.

31 Let the heavens be glad, and the earth rejoice!
Tell all the nations, “The Lord reigns!”
32 Let the sea and everything in it shout his praise!
Let the fields and their crops burst out with joy!
33 Let the trees of the forest rustle with praise,
for the Lord is coming to judge the earth.

34 Give thanks to the Lord, for he is good!
His faithful love endures forever.
35 Cry out, “Save us, O God of our salvation!
Gather and rescue us from among the nations,
so we can thank your holy name
and rejoice and praise you.”

36 Praise the Lord, the God of Israel,
who lives from everlasting to everlasting!

And all the people shouted “Amen!” and praised the Lord.

Well, I know it's a bit early to be sharing, but I'm just way too excited! We just found out on Saturday that we're expecting another baby. I'm overwhelmed with every thought and feeling in the world. "How will I manage two? " "Oh, what a blessing this is." "If it's a boy, Z will have a buddy to play with. " "If it's a girl, I'll be charged with being a super good role model, but I'll get to teach her lots of girlie crafts that I love." Then I wonder if he or she will be healthy, if there's just one in there (Oh my!), and if I'm going to be this sick the entire pregnancy! I've had some sort of symptom every day so far: nausea, dizziness, shortness of breath, weepiness, achey boobs and hips, and forgetfulness (I sent my grandparents in TN two thank you letters for their Christmas presents). I'm humbled again by how little I trusted that God would provide this gift of life to us for those nine years we waited before having Z. Every time a friend shared that she was expecting I felt that twinge of jealousy, pangs of doubt. Oh, me of little faith. I'm not sure why He chose to bless us again when we hardly deserve it, but I'm very, very thankful.

I wrote the above almost four weeks ago, and waited as long as I could to share with the world. I was excited to get the fun little widgets on the side bar! Which, by the way, you can click on the top one's words and it changes. Take my poll while you're over there! Since the above was written my boobs are all better, but the nausea has been worse. I had a good couple days over the weekend, and thought I'd grown out of it, but it came back full force yesterday. I'm still very thankful. I had my first appointment with my midwife in Akron last week and she changed our due date to September 26th, evidently the internet calculator wasn't as accurate as I thought. So, now you know why I haven't posted so often lately: I've been napping when Z naps since I'm so tired all the time and/or as I said in my last post I'm just so behind on housework because I've been feeling too yucky to do much. I can eat, but mostly pasta, protein and spicy foods like Indian, Mexican and chili. My cousin's wife, Nicki and I are just a few days apart in our due dates which should be fun, especially to our grandparents in Iowa who are gaining two new great grandchildren almost at once! Well, Z is sleeping, and that's my cue, I'm off to catch some Z's for me too!

Congratulations!! I'm so excited that our little ones will be soooo close together in age! I'm still really close to my cousin that I'm 2 months younger than. It's a special bond!

I'm voting that you're having a girl to increase my chances of having boy :) I don't know how that works but in my mind it helps!

Oh wow!!! Congratulations Becca! I hope and pray that things will go smoothly for you and baby (and that the yuckiness subsides super-soon!).

I'm going to hold off voting until a little later. I gotta feel things out via your blog, then I'll vote! Will you be finding out before the baby is born, or are you a surprise-me-at-birth kind of girl?
